October 5-9, 2026 Kyoto, Japan
A small-cohort intensive for senior executives and graduate students. Machiya venue, Kyoto. Co-designed with Dr. Olaf Witkowski, Cross Labs.
Play is the most under-leveraged behavior-change lever in adult learning. Executives need rehearsal space for the futures their companies face. Students need rehearsal space for the futures they will inherit. Together they shape each other's mental models in ways neither can achieve alone.
Five days in a 200-year-old machiya in Kyoto. Sessions in tatami rooms and garden space. Day 5 capstone at the Nintendo Museum (Uji, 30 minutes from Kyoto), the most symbolically resonant venue available for a program about play, creativity, and the future of human-machine collaboration.
The curriculum draws from Stuart Brown, Csikszentmihalyi, Vygotsky, and the artificial collective intelligence research of Olaf Witkowski. The method is not theoretical: you rehearse, you iterate, you leave with a new model of how your organization learns under pressure.
